The Purchasing Associate will work closely with the leaders of the production floor to ensure that each department has the materials and components needed to create an exquisitely handmade product. From foam to frame, to highly refined exposed wooden and metal design elements, you will coordinate all component ordering as needed.
Some days will be spent working with and nurturing vendor relationships through placing orders, troubleshooting issues, sending thank you notes, reviewing invoices, scheduling completion dates, and sending follow up emails. Other days will be spent simply updating project management software, organizing paperwork, and communicating internally with the production and office teams regarding lead time notes. You'll also have the opportunity to help develop and optimize the purchasing and inventory systems.
